Better news. The national McNair conference in WI was an amazing success. I had a great time, met some really amazing people like Carl McNair, Dr. Ronald McNair's younger brother, and recieved some incrediably (sp) useful information as well. I was (and still am) very grateful to the program but now I have a keener sence of what it really means to be a McNair Scholar. It was amazing to see the various peoples that this program has touched and uplifted so many people. I really wonder if Dr. McNair could have imagined that his personal ethics and magnitude of just being who he was, an icon for human diversity, accademic achievement, and equality, would someday be the very foundation of a program that, in my humble oppinion, was to become something greater than himself. I would like to believe that he would be awed and pleased. Its a shame that he was lost to us in such a tragic event, i would have liked to have known him on a personal level.
Ok .. enough of my soap box. I do hope to get back in the saddle and play with my materials in the near future. But papers must come first because without those papers, this lil' girl doesn't get the degree. No degree means Dee wasted alot of time and encoured a house note worth of loans.
Hugs All.

Hmm, even if they don't go in the hair, the clay ones would be so pretty to put on display.
